The Many Colored Death is a alt rock trio based out of Columbia, Missouri. Formed in 2010, the band has internalized the aesthetic and influence of acts such as Soundgarden, King’s X, Rush and Foo Fighters, then spun those elements out into a fresh new style. Described by one fan as “a silky mixture of 70’s rock and early 90’s grunge.”
Featuring a rhythm section that would make John Bonham and John Paul Jones proud, and a guitarist/vocalist who is equal parts David Gilmour, King Buzzo, and Chris Cornell, their brand of rock is both quiet and loud, dark and light. Soulful lyrics and melodies float effortlessly over the pounding surf of complex polyrhythms and groove laden riffs.
While the diversity and musicality of the band is showcased on their recorded works, the band truly shines in the live setting. With high energy and musical ferocity on full display, they’ve been making believers out of rock fans every time they take the stage. Whether opening for bands like Chevelle, Helmet, or Shaman’s Harvest, or shaking the walls down at a local dive bar, the song remains the same and the sound will shake your blood!

CHEMICAL MASS

Chemical Mass, what do you think of when these 2 words are joined in succession? Nightmares of chemistry class, flash backs of the periodic table, diagrams of various molecular structures? Now, look at them separately. A chemical, simply put, is a substance. Now think of all substances. And mass, think lots of people, all people, everybody.
Chemical Mass is a 5 piece, hard rock group from Jefferson City, Missouri. Established in early 2014, Chemical Mass hit the mid Missouri music scene and released a 4 track demo. Featured songs such as “Denial” and “Nibiru” gave an early indication to their chosen direction. Some describe it as saturated with “Tool” and “Deftones” like influences. 2015 brought around their first digital release, a single titled “Beyond What You Know” which can be seen as a study of one’s self and the basic human instinct of conformity. A second release in 2016, titled “Secrets and Lies”, was brought on by an even more dynamic approach to their song writing where the fabric of our society and social structure is brought into question. Each original track is packed with thought provoking lyrics that are vocally carried over with driven conviction. The guitar work is a display of generously dynamic riffs, grooving melodies, and hard rocking accents. The alluring bass lines and skillful drum patterns form a rhythm section that calls to you like a siren in the night. Follow the sound and let us share the vision.

BROKEN SUNS OF KARMA

BSOK released their eponymous debut album on October 28, 2014. After two years of being played live around mid-Missouri, the eleven tracks culminated in Pete Szkolka’s studio during winter, fall, and summer of 2014.
Located in Columbia, Missouri. We love playing original rock and roll blues funk music. In 1998, Chris Ford and James Barnes met via an ad posted in the old Crazy Music on 10th street. Since that first meeting they have played together in rock giants “Horehound” and “‘JB and the Goods”. The Broken Suns of Karma have played throughout the central Missouri area and beyond since early 2011. Scott Cason joined the band on drums in 2015.
