“My name is Billy Jack Purnell, I’m an emerging artist from Jefferson City MO. I was raised in Moniteau County & will always consider Clarksburg MO. my home. I taught myself to write & play while recovering from a car accident at 16. My music hasn’t ever been easily placed into any one genre. It’s Honest tunes about my real life experiences behind basic chords & emotion. I felt “Plain & Simple” fit the sound & style best. Early on I didn’t want it out to the public or even available, however there are no secrets in a small town. The response from fans was something I couldn’t have expected. From there it took on a life of it’s own. Today, I can say music doesn’t pay the bills but has taken me down roads I never imagined I’d travel. Daily I feel blessed & thankful to God for the gift of music. For every FAN that appreciates this sound, & for a family that supports me seeing just haw far it can go.”
