The Mission

Call it retro country or maybe just call it real country, but Jordan Thomas and his Designated Drivers have that sound. You know, that sound you’d hear in a roadhouse or a town tavern on the square. With the whine of a steel guitar and thump of an upright bass, Jordan and his Drivers have that rare quality of sounding both authentic and fresh. Original or dusted off from a bygone era, their music is peppered in overtones of blues, bluegrass, southern soul, western swing, rockabilly, cajun spice and Texas mesquite. You won’t hear electronic beats, auto-tuned voices, or songs written in a corporate board room. You’ll hear real country music though—and it just might make you dance, laugh, or cry in your beer. Add Jordan Thomas and his Designated Drivers to the growing list of artists putting the country music back in country music.
