Kyle Caraway – Guitar/Vocals

Kyle Caraway:
Big House brings about a desire for Kyle to rekindle the fires of the regional blues scene and perform with “the ultimate rhythm section”. Kyle began his musical career in the early 80’s but was always drawn to music rooted in the blues like The Allman Brothers, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and Eric Clapton. Traveling all over the midwest, he played in various top 40 rock bands,and opened for numerous national acts. In 1992, he joined The Banastre Tarleton Band. The band gained a national sponsorship from Coors Light Beer and Kyle
became endorsed by GHS Strings. In 1995 he did a last minute fill in for Kansas City blues legend King Alex Littlejohn and for the first time, Kyle was given the choice to play the music that had always felt the most natural to him. Kyle was asked to become a permanent member of the band and they recorded 2 cd’s and were invited to perform at a blues festival in Holland. Kyle left King Alex in 1996 to pursue a project of his own creation. He started the Blues Deville Band which gigged heavily until 2000. Taking a 6 year hiatus, Kyle came “out of retirement” to rekindle the Blues Deville band. When Blues Deville made the decision to slow down so other members could pursue additional projects, Kyle decided to pursue a 3 piece, fire breathing blues band that would set Central Missouri on its ear. Big House is poised to do just that. The band continues to receive rave reviews everywhere it goes.

Alan Loshaugh:
Alan was born in San Francisco, and moved to St Louis in 1971. He’s lived in Columbia Missouri since 1979. Equally proficient on upright and electric, he’s worked in literally every genre he could get a paycheck out of. From blue grass to dixieland; orchestral pits to stadium stages; Alan can most typically can be found working in jazz/blues and rock formatted bands. He’s recorded and toured with many bands you’d never had heard of.
Typically, his services are in use by 4 or 5 groups of various sorts at any one time; he’s a bass-a-holic who’d rather be working than sleeping.
Oddball factoid: he toured China with the Columbia, MO bluegrass band Ironweed in 2007.

Jimmy Joe Culbertson:
Jimmy Joe is his real name. A real-life hillbilly (raised by cows), he has been playing drums forty-four years (and boy, are his arms tired). He has played gigs with The Ink Spots, Chuck Berry, and even played a circus once. His resume also includes playing for a lady whip act at a state fair, playing behind WKRP’s Les Nessman (Richard Sanders) while he did a striptease and sang Heartbreak Hotel, and playing
rimshots for Green Acre’s Mr. Haney (Pat Buttram) while he did a stand-up comedy routine. His first concert ever attended: Bo Diddley and ZZ Top (way before the beards and shades). Most influential concert: 1971… Frank Zappa warmed up by an unheard of group called Steely Dan. He has a Bachelors in Music Peformance and a Bachelors in Criminal Justice Administration.
He considers the 2 most important things a drummer can do to be keep time and make it groove…and in a distant third, don’t upstage the guitar player. Jimmy Joe still believes he could be a decent drummer some day.
