RENEGADE RAIL debut @ The Mission with special guest Str8 Up!
These guys have worked their particular brand of magic in clubs and venues around Georgia, Wyoming, South Dakota , Kansas, Missouri,Texas, and Oklahoma, naming among their favorites the Wormy Dog Saloon, The Snorty Horse Saloon and The Beaumont Club , as well as any venue large or small that respects original Red Dirt music. They have performed at a variety of large festivals in Kansas and Oklahoma, including the Country Fever Fest in Pryor (OK) and the Winfield (KS) Country Roundup. Featured as one of Maverik Magazine’s “Artists on the Rise,” the guys in The Rail have performed with notable acts including Hank Williams, Jr., Dierks Bentley, Trent Tomlinson, Molly Hatchet, The Kentucky Headhunters, The Randy Rogers Band, Charlie Robison, Kevin Fowler, Stoney Larue, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Chris Cagel, Lady Antebellum, Ricochet, Jason Aldean, Mike McClure, The LoCash Cowboys, and Bleu Edmonson.
Recently receiving much-deserved airplay and national exposure on XM Radio’s X-Country, and many Clear channels throughout the Midwest. The Rail’s album, Ragged, produced by Mike McClure, (who is considered to be THE producer for Red Dirt music and a pioneer of the genre) is filled from start to finish with screaming electric guitar licks interlaced with acoustic guitar, hard-driving vocals and songs that speak about life. And not a life whitewashed by the elusive “they” searching for a radio hit – but real life, lived to its fullest by the three men driving this train down that Renegade Rail.
The members of Renegade Rail bring everything they have musically to the table – combining influences as diverse as blue grass and straight-forward rock and roll to create their own brand of highly energetic, groove-laden, “blue collar music.” Self-described as an “outlaw country band with southern rock and red dirt influences,” Renegade Rail leaves audiences across the south with ringing ears,… melodies running through their heads and the inescapable feeling that “someone gets it”… And they all want to hear more.
Rocky Vincent – Rhythm and Lead Guitar, Lead Vocals

Chris Edwards – Bass Guitar, Harmony Vocals

Michael Bowman – Drums, percussion, Backing Vocals

Wayne Severson – Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals

““I traveled to the Wormy Dog in OKC to catch Stoney’s first full band performace, and was treated to another band that I had not yet had the chance to go and see. Renegade Rail… put on a fine show. These guys seemed to be genuinely having a ball up there, and I love it when a band appears to be having so much fun.” Make no mistake about it, these guys rock.””
— Mavrik Magazine’s “Artist on the Rise.”
“Red Dirt Radio featured band,, where they received a 9.8 rating out of 10 for their song, “Cardboard.” Skydog quotes: “I just got the best CD I’ve heard in the last 10 years (at least) from a new band – the new Renegade Rail CD called”Ragged”. There ain’t nothin’ ragged about it…this baby is right!””

“How One Renegade Band Keeps Riding The Rail by Jennifer Rainey Renegade Rail The guys of Renegade Rail have seen things move into full swing lately. Between finishing a third album, Ragged, shooting a video for the CMT Madness Competition, and touring, they have been showing the rest of the TX/RD family and friends just what four Missouri guys are really made of. Of course, they can’t do this without some new threads, so Nathan Cross of Southern Thread has generously hooked the band up with new clothes. “The ink hasn’t been signed yet, but Nathan Cross felt sorry for us the last time he saw us dressed in rags, so he hooked us up with some great clothes,” lead vocalist, Rocky Vincent said. Perhaps, the biggest news for Renegade Rail is the release of their third album, Ragged. Vincent said the guys all thought it’d be fitting, since that’s how they feel after a live performance. Although this is their third album, it’s the first one the band is completely satisfied with.”
