An evening with Bobby Showers & Friends
Bobby has been performing around Jefferson City since moving back from St. Louis in May of 2007. He has played with a number of local musicians along the way.
“(I)first got into music during the 80s so bands like Duran Duran, The Outfield, and Michael Jackson were huge for me, 90s brought hip hop (Eric B and Rakim, NWA, De La Soul) and a lot of R&B (Troop, Keith Sweat, Bell Biv Devoe). The late 90s I got into Pearl Jam big, which lead into a lot of alternative rock type stuff (Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots), plus my parents turned me on to a lot of music from their generation, so James Taylor, Jim Croce, The Stones, Jackson Browne. More recently I’ve been significantly influenced by G Love, Bob Schneider, Todd Snider, Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz. And I remain a sucker for a good pop song with a good hook.” – Bobby Showers
Join us Thursday, February 20 for an intimate, acoustic evening with Bobby Showers and support local musicians! Who knows, it may turn in to a duo. Will keep ya posted!
