Bitterly sweet could be a new trend flavor when the Austrian punk’n’roll ensemble Kitty In A Casket release their new album BITTERSWEET on May 10th 2013. Rather than lingering over typical stale musical spice blends and insipid ingredients, the band consequently follows their proven recipe of success from the first to the last tone of their new record: all cooking plates at full steam!

BITTERSWEET is the third studio album by Kitty in a Casket, a band formed in 2008 by vocalist Kitty Casket, guitarist Billy Bat and drummer Mike Machine with guitarist Todd Flash and bassist Tom Mooner joining in the beginning of 2012. The band still manage to keep their double-bass tradition and in-your-face punk sound. Guest artists on BITTERSWEET are Nim Vind (Nim Vind, Vocals), Ash Ghoulmore (Kreepsville 666, Vocals), Stuart Osborne (Guana Batz, Guitar) and Marc van Dank (ex-KiaC).

Kitty in a Casket will be flying over to the US for a month-long Summer Tour just weeks after the Album release. They’ll be joining southern californian Dark-Melodic Punk-rock band The Returners as a special guest on their Tour starting in July. Kitty in a Casket will finally rock the States this summer!

For the last ten years members of the Returners have been writing and performing in some of Southern California and New Jersey’s most notorious underground punk and hardcore bands touring the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, Europe, and the United Kingdom and sharing the stage with bands such as 45 Grave, the Adicts, Agression, Conflict, Damnation, DI, Earth Crisis, Final Conflict, Icons of Filth, Phobia, the Presidents of the United States, Subhumans, TSOL, Voodoo Glowskulls, and countless others.

Forming together as the Returners they sought to blend the traditional old school punk rock that they grew up on with the darker aesthetics of deathrock, horror punk, gothic, and psychobilly. Choosing their name from the cult horror film Cemetery Man (Dellamorte Dellamore in Europe) the Returners share its themes of Love, Death, and all that blurs in between as well as its appreciation and love for the macabre.
