MERCURY TRIO:

Three guys playing a blend of blues, funk, jam, and rock. Epic guitar solos, epic songs. Always evolving.

Mercury Trio carries on. In the wake of a loss like we’ve never known, John and Byron felt we still wanted to continue this music and these gigs.

The Trio has morphed into yet another version since its original inception with drummer Kyle Steinmetz. What started as a pure improv band that encompassed every musical genre, became a more blues-rock focused group when John Lazar took the drum throne. With the addition of Graham Greer on bass, the Trio now stands as a funkier, more song oriented band. Yet change is inevitable.

Mercury Trio is a live band that is meant to be seen live. Every show is different, every performance of every song is different, every set list is different, and always will be. Thanks to everyone who shares the moment with us.

Imre ‘Tad’ Komaromi’s original bio for Mercury Trio:

Mercury Trio is an exercise in the possibilities of “spontaneous creation”. What happens when musicians get together with no real preconceived idea about what will happen? Can anything happen? Will it be worthwhile, valid – any good? What can be done with creation when your only boundaries are set by your mind and the idea that you don’t think about the moment until it happens.

This is what Mercury Trio wants to explore; good, bad or worse. Byron, John and Tad have 30+, combined, years of making music. Each has worked in, or led, their own bands – oft times working in some combination with each other. Now, they find an opportunity to work with each other, as just a trio.

Working as just a three-piece, they work at finding what can be done when musicians, who understand their instruments, get together and let go of convention. Every night and every show will be a different experience – for both the audience and the guys on stage.

Ugly, beautiful, haunting, driving or grooving. The only thing to definitely expect is the unexpected. ..

THE MANY COLORED DEATH:

The Many Colored Death is a hard rock trio based out of Columbia, Missouri. With influences ranging from Sabbath and King’s X to Muse and RATM, they’ve forged a sound uniquely theirs, while not wholly unfamiliar. Described by one fan as “a silky mixture of 70’s rock and early 90’s grunge”, The MCD are driven by a desire to make real, honest rock music for real rock music fans. Featuring a thundering rhythm section that would make Bonham and John Paul Jones proud, and a guitarist/vocalist who is equal parts Robin Trower, King Buzzo, and David Gilmour, their brand of rock is both quiet and loud, dark and light. A veritable yin yang of sound and emotion. Soulful lyrics and melodies float effortlessly over the pounding surf of complex polyrhythms and groove laden riffs.

To paraphrase Jimi Hendrix, we don’t play loud so you can hear the music.

We play loud so you can feel it.

Brent Moore – Guitar/Vocals
Preston Rodgers – Bass
Shea Spence – Drums
